My Bio...
I am honored to be a member OMOL mentoring program. I’m a graduate of Milford Mill Senior High School now known as Milford Mill Academy. I have an A.A. degree in Sociology from Catonsville Community College and an A.A degree in Electrical/Mechanical Technology from the Comm. College of the Air Force. I also attended U.M.B.C while working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I also have a Certification in Auto CADD/Architecture from R.E.T.S School of Technology. I’m currently working on my Bachelor’s degree in Information Security from American Sentential University. I’ve received numerous citations, medals, certificates and awards from both the Air Force and Federal Express.
In my early twenties, I worked in a trouble teen military youth program which was sponsored by the Army. It was call the Youth Corps at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in MD. I enjoyed my time working with trouble teenage youth while employed with the program. It gave me a chance to give back and interact with trouble teenagers during my early college years. In turn, it gave me a better sense of purpose and enlightened me in many ways. It’s a great feeling to be able to give back and make a difference in someone’s life, especially for our youth of today. I’m truly honored to be part of a program which is trying to make a difference in not only our youth but the community as well. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, skills and experiences in order to broaden their horizons and create positive choices for our young men as they grow towards manhood.
I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to travel the world and see various countries overseas as well as various states here in the US. I’m a Master Sergeant in the Air Force and I am currently stationed at Joint Base Andrews in the Washington DC. (Formally known as Andrews Air Force Base) I also work for Federal Express in both the Baltimore City/County area. I must say, I know the city like the back of my hand and I often worked in the 16 and 17 zips of the city where most of our young men are currently living.
Some of my interest and hobbies include: playing basketball and football, reading, writing poetry, traveling the country, music, eating healthy, staying in shape, working on cars, spending time with my son and family and of course, working with our youth.
